As one London Marathon ends for the year, preparations quickly begin for the next. 

While it has been hours since the last runner crossed the line, millions of hopefuls will have already entered ballots for the 2025 edition of the run.

2024 saw a record number of London marathon runners with more than 50,000 people taking on the 26.2-mile course throughout the capital.

Next year is also set to see record numbers as ballot places quickly get filled, but don't panic if you've not entered yet as you still have time.

How to enter the London Marathon 2025 ballot

To enter the ballot, you can follow this link and complete the form before Friday, April 26 when the deadline closes.

When you follow the link you will be given two options, UK entry and international entry for the London Marathon.

You will then be asked to provide some basic information like name, phone number, email, date of birth, address and your ethnic group or background.

After providing some information, you will then be asked whether you would like to donate £49.99 to double your chance of winning a ballot or to enter for free and pay the full £69.99 entry fee.

How does the London Marathon ballot work?

The ballot was created after the London Marathon became so popular spaces were limited.

When is the London Marathon 2025?

The next London Marathon will be taking place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, giving you plenty of time to start training.
