IT’S been a busy week to be a West Ham fan with three games played, including a whistle-stop trip to Romania. Here’s what I’ve come away with, writes Fan’s View columnist Kat Alder.

1. Diego Costa still infuriates me more than any other player.

He should have been sent off before scoring the winner for Chelsea against us, with a late tackle on Adrian where he got none of the ball and all of the Spaniard’s leg.

It’s not the fact we were beaten that annoys me, as Chelsea were the better team, but the fact that he should have received a second yellow from referee Anthony Taylor.

And don’t get me started on the lack of fact he didn’t get one for his celebration.

2. When you play him in his preferred position, it turns out Michail Antonio is pretty good. When he runs at players, I’m not convinced he’s actually stoppable, and although you can tell he’s a bit rusty in scoring positions, he got his goal in the end against Bournemouth.

When he was hauled off against Chelsea, he looked gutted and it’s great to see him back where he’s best. I also thought Sam Byram looked solid at right-back, so hopefully Antonio can stay on the wing.

While we’re praising players, I also really rate Arthur Masuaku already and think he’s a great addition to the squad – if he keeps playing the way he has been, Aaron Cresswell may struggle to get back in the team.

3. The club is still a bit of a mess, even in a new ground. Photos coming from our first home Premier League game at the London Stadium showed fans having been assigned tickets where there weren’t any seats in place, and empty blocks due to us only being allowed a capacity of 57,000 rather than the expected 60,000.

People have kept waiting for their season tickets and membership cards to come, and there are still massively long waiting times on the phone, despite promises this would improve this season.

Still, it wouldn’t be West Ham if there weren’t a few hiccups, right?

4. Astra Giurgiu aren’t a joke. Despite getting that all-important away goal, we still conceded a sloppy equaliser towards the end of the game, which means it’s all to play for in the home leg. I’m confident that we’re going to progress into the next round, but we cannot afford to switch off.

5. If the two Davids weren’t going to be generous before, they’ll have to be now. Slaven Bilic let slip in his interview after the AFC Bournemouth game the chairmen had agreed to dig deep and splash the cash on another player.

Rumour has it that it’s attacker Wilfried Bony on his way to the club. With Andy Carroll out again, and new record signing Andre Ayew also injured, Bony would be a decent addition to our strikeforce – and he’s proven in the Premier League already, which is a bonus.

Hopefully we can get through the Europa game and get a result against City. Come on you Irons!
